The focus of the Conference will be on the future of money, which includes all changes and trends in the industry in which banks and other classic financial institutions have so far had the main word. Lately, Telecoms, FinTech companies and startups have been increasingly competing with them by offering innovative products and services which place clients in preferential position and allow them to have simpler and more financially favourable shopping experience, do money transactions, change currencies and do similar actions.
Banks try to keep up in these conditions and respond to challenges that usually come in the form of mobile and web apps – either on their own or cooperating with existing startups or starting them themselves. It will be also interesting to see what role will cryptocurrencies market have with time, and will cryptocurrencies become relevant mean of payment and significally compete with classic fiat currencies such as HRK and Euro.
More than 1000 FinTech professionals are expected at the Shift Money Conference. During two days, they will be able to attend lectures and round tables about actual topics from the FinTech and visit the fair where around 50 FinTech startups, companies, banks and other players from the area will be presented.
