Laser eyes on Twitter to support Bitcoin up to $100k

The meme of “laser eyes” profile pictures is going crazy on Twitter, dedicated to those who believe that Bitcoin could soon reach $100,000

The trend started a few days ago when the price of Bitcoin was on the rise. Yesterday Bitcoin reached a new record high of $58,000, but today it is experiencing a retracement that is driving it down. BTC currently stands at $51,000, down 10%

But Twitter users got caught up in the excitement and changed their profile picture with the laser eyes meme to express their confidence in Bitcoin. The meme was accompanied by the hashtag #LaserRayUntil100K

People such as Elon Musk, who tweeted “just for a day”, joined the laser eyes trend and actually kept his profile picture with laser eyes for a very short time. Pro-Bitcoin senator Cynthia Lummis also joined in, and not only did she briefly have laser eyes, but she also retweeted a meme about it.

Brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss (Gemini) are still showing off their laser eyes, as are Michael Saylor (Microstrategy), Dan Held (Kraken), Changpeng Zhao (Binance), and Erik Voorhees (ShapeShift).

Ledger‘s official profile had fun laser-eyeing Peter Schiff, who is not one of those who envision Bitcoin at $100,000 – quite the contrary.

How to get laser eyes and support Bitcoin on Twitter

Creating this meme is very easy.

There are various guides to make it in Photoshop, but for the less experienced, there are tools among which one of the most used can be found on memed.io: just upload your profile picture, choose the laser effect you prefer among 25 available, which include various colours and patterns, and you’re done.

It remains to be seen whether, with the Bitcoin retracement underway, there will be a rush to restore previous profile images. However, the ongoing movement was quite predictable given BTC’s sudden rise. So enthusiasts should not panic
