If crypto donors are HODLers, the website also offers transactions in fiat currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, AUD and CAD.
Ukraine: cryptocurrency donations to support the population
The crypto donations to support the people of Ukraine were made through a collaboration with Everstake, the Staking-as-a-Service platform and crypto-exchange of FTX.
Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO and founder of FTX, posted his own comment about it:
“Incredibly excited and humbled to be working with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Everstake, and others to support crypto donations to Ukraine”.
Everstake also posted its tweet to inform its followers and beyond:
Fast 50 Millionen Dollar wurden über Nacht gesammelt. Das Geld wird zur Unterstützung des ukrainischen Militärs sowie der Zivilbevölkerung verwendet. Neben der Plattform @FTX_Official sind auch die ukrainischen Firmen @everstake_pool & @KunaExchange an der Initiative beteiligt. https://t.co/RIIGECbkmB

The NFTs of the war with Russia: the new collection
Just today, it was also announced that Ukraine wants to launch a new collection of NFTs dedicated to the war against Russia.
Revealing the news was the country’s Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, Alex Bornyakov, according to whom the new collection will be like a museum of the Russian-Ukrainian war in NFT format.
So, in addition to the growing crypto donations for Ukraine, NFTs are also being used both as a way of transferring funds from outside donors to warring countries, and as a way of leaving a lasting record of what is happening.
