Cozomo de’ Medici (Snoop Dogg) buys Fidenza’s first NFT, the most expensive in history

Cozomo de’ Medici, the billionaire NFT collector who later turned out to be none other than Snoop Dogg, has announced that he has bought the Fidenza work that has been declared the first most expensive in the history of the industry.

A 3-digit value NFT bought by Snoop Dogg

This is Fidenza number 938 titled “God Mode” because “sometimes, there is god in the algorithm. Certain outputs are so sublime and unexpected. That in a thousand different timelines, no such likeness exists”,the tweet explains.

As is also stated in the thread following the first post, the previous price of this NFT work was 100 Ethereum, and it entered the history books years ago for this very reason, for being the first non-fungible token to be sold for a 3-digit value.

“938 is in the history books for another reason. Ages ago, it was the first ever AB triple digit sale, at 100 ETH. You may not believe it, but it was then an unprecedented price”.

The other peculiarity of this NFT is that the spirals depicted in the work rotate anti-clockwise, although in reality, this would be an illusion created by the intersections between the different shapes.

In addition to Beeple’s famous $69 million sale of “Everydays: the first 5000 days”, which set the standard for the entire NFT industry, the list of history’s best-selling crypto art and collectibles is filled with new records every day. In addition to Beeple, there are artists such as Pack, FEWOCiOUS, Xcopy and Hackatao.

When it comes to collectibles, the CryptoPunks set several records, selling tens of millions of NFTs.

The sale of the source code of the World Wide Web was also a major event, selling for $5.43 million, as was the sale of the first tweet in history written by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, which sold for $3 million.
