TopGoal brings football legends to Binance NFT

TopGoal, the platform that collects football NFT trading cards, today announced new deals with big names in football who will become non-fungible tokens available on Binance NFT.

Big football names on Binance NFT with TopGoal

The platform is working with famous football players, institutions and clubs by offering packages with digital player cards that can be won and owned by game participants.

Alessandro del Piero, Christian Vieri and Gabriel Batistuta are just the latest famous football names who have closed deals with TopGoal to link their names to the NFT game.

TopGoal has also launched its airdrop on Binance’s NFT platform for the second series of its digital cards. Earlier this year, the company had closed deals with Guti, Michael Owen and Rivaldo, former international champions. This drop had also taken place on Binance NFT, thus it is a partnership that has been renewed.

Alessandro Del Piero said:

“Football is the most-watched sport in the world and there are many historic moments that deserve to be remembered. Bringing NFTs and football together can offer fans the opportunity to collect these great moments of the players they support, build their own fantasy team and play with unique legendary football cards. I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”

In Italy, a project linking the names of some footballers to a proprietary coin,

, was released in mid-September, and will soon be available to be used to make purchases of goods and services on a dedicated platform.

The token has gained about 365% in a few weeks.

Football and cryptocurrencies

But this news is hardly surprising considering the crypto world’s extensive involvement in the world of sport and football in particular.

Crypto.com, a Singapore-based exchange, after sponsoring last year’s Coppa Italia final, has become the main sponsor of the Italian football league.

Binance recently signed an agreement with Lazio to have its logo on the team’s official shirts for the next three years.

The same goes for the other team in the capital, Roma, which signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with Digitalbits for 83 million euros.

Milan and Juventus have chosen two exchanges, Bitmex and Bitget, to sponsor their brand on the sleeves of their official uniforms.

Inter Milan, on the other hand, has abandoned its 20-year association with Pirelli to embrace Socios, the crypto company whose fan token makes interaction between fans and their favourite team much more direct.

Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Barcelona have also partnered with crypto companies.

The possibility of extra revenue is one of the main features that make the cryptocurrency and NFT sector interesting for a world like football that has long been in a major liquidity crisis.

Companies like Socios, Digitalbits, TopGoal, Sorare, offer teams new interesting sources of income from the interactions that can be made thanks to the fan tokens created by these companies.
