Snowden is a Russian citizen

The Kremlin’s move at the hands of the president himself to grant Russian citizenship to Edward Joseph Snowden, is at the very least startling.

Edward Joseph Snowden gains Russian citizenship

Nine years later, the American computer scientist prosecuted for betraying his country by revealing searing espionage practices by the US, British and European governments against unsuspecting citizens will be able to reunite with his family and live peacefully while enjoying time with his children in the homeland of the Czars.

To understand the provocation Putin made to Biden, it is necessary to know the facts that brought Edward Snowden into the limelight.

In 2013, the IT expert Snowden was working for the CIA and shortly thereafter was hired at a company providing services for the US Security Agency (NSA). At the time, he was 30 years old and living in Hawaii on the lavish salary of nearly $100,000 a year, a life many people dream of, but not the young man in question.

In March 2013 he took a flight and headed to Hong Kong where journalists had arranged an exclusive interview with him. The journalists are Glenn Greenwald, Laura Poitras, and Ewen MacAskill.

In June 2013, the US intelligence’s rabbit hole revealed a huge amount and top secret classified information regarding the US and European Prism spy system in addition to other classified systems and reports.

The Guardian, The Washington Post, Der Spiegel and The New York Times were the first to publish the contents of Snowden’s interview and thus the international community almost simultaneously with the intelligence community learned of the act of the “traitor” who in the name of truth and protection of citizens placed a spotlight on the misdeeds of governments halfway around the world primarily that of the United States of America.

On 14 June 2013 at the hands of US federal prosecutors who served Snowden with the act, he was charged with theft of government property, unauthorized communication of national defense information and willful communication of secret information with an unauthorized person.

“Recognizing his status as a whistleblower and international human rights defender,” on Oct. 29 two years later, with 285 votes in favor and 281 against, the European Parliament obtained the withdrawal of any criminal appeal against Edward Joseph Snowden, thus avoiding extradition to countries outside the events that occurred.

Intelligence analyst Gavino Raoul Piras summarizes the case thus:

“Snowden is the polar opposite of the Fogle case. There are no errors on the modus operandi, we are not faced with an agent blackmailed for money, sex and so on. Here we are faced with the greatest danger in case of defection: ideological motivation. With the professional one it is the motivation par excellence, in which the same Agents of any Intelligence must be hired-enlisted, trained, updated and surrounded.

It is the Creed of any Agent, in which belonging to a service or to several services always comes after, because it is the leitmotif of Life to give constant added value to their professionalism and their work production. At present information this seems to be the only reason. According to the statements made by Snowden himself to the mass media, there would be a significant ideological-political disappointment towards the administration of Presidents Bush and Obama: “I have decided to sacrifice myself because my conscience can no longer accept that the US government violates privacy. , the freedom of the Internet and the basic rights of people around the world, through an immense surveillance mechanism built in secret.”

In short, according to him, a normal, lucky life, canceled with a swipe of the sponge in the name of the freedom of others. Therefore, very little can be done-repaired. In the recent past, one of the best-known defectionists for ideological motivation was the PR Line Leader of the rezidentura, First Central Directorate of the former KGB in London, aka Oleg Gordievskij. That’s all to say.”

Putin provokes Biden by granting Snowden citizenship

At the root of the case we thus find an ideological motive, something unexpected for both the NSA and the CIA and the reason for so much international admiration for this person who put his life on the line for an ideal and the common good.

However, while stemming from noble intentions, Snowden’s parable has caused tremendous damage especially to the US, which has made him an enemy of the state and has gone to great lengths to make him pay.

Now Putin’s granting of citizenship follows on the heels of the recent escalation of warfare enshrined in the partial mobilization speech made by the Russian president a few days ago that has even raised fears of a tactical atomic bomb.

In this escalation, the United States of America has not been at the window and has hinted that a further show of muscle from Russia may be the straw that breaks the camel’s back on Biden’s patience.

At the moment no demonstration has come from the Kremlin, at least not warlike, but what has been done today is much more than a military deployment, it is a provocation to the heart of the US deep state that could trigger a reaction that may provoke a war of far greater proportions than we have seen so far, what we would call, a world war.

On hearing of Moscow’s concession, as was to be expected, Snowden greeted the fact with glee by externalizing on twitter:

“After years of separation from our parents, my wife and I have no desire to be separated from our children. After two years of waiting and nearly ten years of exile, a little stability will make a difference for my family. for privacy for them and for all of us.”

All we can do is wait in the hope that yesterday’s is just good news for an American citizen paying for his too much intellectual honesty and not the first step toward World War III.
