Elon Musk to conquer Italy with Starlink

Communications company Starlink has launched a subscription campaign in the beautiful country, Elon Musk announced on Twitter.

Twitter is a wonderful world and now that it is also an Elon Musk company, it is even more bubbly and evolving.

Musk’s tweets have always been synonymous with interest and especially content that often turns into news.

Recently in response to a user Musk indirectly mocked Tim for its inability to offer efficiency and reliability for internet connection.

The response to the tweet, it goes without saying, has resonated unparalleled in the past few hours and has been an effective tow to the bombshell dropped by the entrepreneur subsequently.

This morning the CEO of Tesla and the communications company Starlink declared that Musk’s sauce connection is now available on the peninsula bathed by the seven seas.

In detail, the tweet carried a direct “Available in Italy” complete with a link to the company’s website Starlink.com and an image of the promotion.

Cost and Hardware Specifications

The promotion consists of purchasing the hardware for 450.00 Euros and a subscription that supports 4k streaming, video calls and calls, online games, etc. for 50.00 Euros monthly.

Starlink on the hardware specifications states:

“Starlink is the first commercially available phased array antenna. Your Starlink Kit arrives with everything you need to get online in minutes including your Starlink, WiFi router, cables, and base. It is self-orienting and connects in minutes as long as it has a clear view of the sky.

Starlink can withstand extreme cold, heat, hail, sleet, heavy rain, gale force winds, and even rocket engines.”

The hardware of the connection system consists of a dish complete with a transmitter that picks up the signal directly from Musk’s Starlink satellite network.

The Texas company’s satellites cover the entire planet, and although the promotion is quite exorbitant compared to Tim, Wind is other competitors it offers unparalleled efficiency and security.

Starlink, we learn from the statements of technicians and the site can guarantee a connection that disregards the morphological conformation of the territory and guarantees the signal even 800 meters below sea level.

On the site, the technology is explained as follows:

Most satellite internet services come from single geostationary satellites that orbit the planet at 35,786 km. As a result, the round trip data time between the user and satellite—also known as latency—is high, making it nearly impossible to support streaming, online gaming, video calls or other high data rate activities.

Starlink is a constellation of thousands of satellites that orbit the planet much closer to Earth, at about 550 km, and cover the entire globe. Because Starlink satellites are in a low orbit, latency is significantly lower—around 20 ms vs 600+ ms.

Elon Musk and Starlink controversy

The Texas tycoon’s satellite network has also been the subject of controversy, which has not spared Musk the Chinese government’s concern about it.

China plans a satellite network like Musk’s and fears that this one that is already in place could obscure the one in the rising sun or be used to spy on the Asian country.

In recent days the controversy between Musk and Beijing has been reignited because of the U.S. government’s shooting down of the Chinese spy balloon that transited over the skies over Canada.

To date, the Starlink connection is considered the most reliable in the world to the point that in the conflict in Eastern Europe between Ukraine and Russia it is used by Kiev to make up for Moscow’s destruction of its antecedent Internet network.

The Russian-Ukrainian conflict has been the sad test case for the efficiency of the technology put in place by Musk, which in both the civilian and military fields has amply demonstrated its value.

Italy is just one of the countries in which the promotional campaign has started, which as the naturalized Canadian engineer and entrepreneur explains will also reach other nations for which the company is awaiting authorizations.

Among the countries close to the landing of Musk’s technology and the Starlink company are several countries in Africa including Mozambique and Nigeria.
