The blockchain initiative of the City of Naples has long been talked about and it seems that already by the end of 2018 the blockchain consultation team will know what will be the developments of the project related to the use of cryptocurrencies in stores.
For now, the novelty is that 40 stores have already joined the initiative of the Neapolitan municipality and they will be officially presented at the event which will take place in Castel dell’Ovo this Saturday, December 15th from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
In addition, today, December 10th, Felice Balsamo, coordinator of the blockchain working group for the City of Naples, will approach several pizzerias and other historic venues of Naples to convince them to accept bitcoin as a method of payment. “We have more than a hundred registrations,” explains Balsamo.
The event of December 15th, which will be held at the Sala Compagno of Castel dell’Ovo in Naples, will concern the issues related to the blockchain with reference to its inherent characteristics of transparency and privacy along with use cases such as the citizens’ referendum and electronic voting.
The POS for payments and the benefits and discounts related to the use of the TTS token, as well as trial periods for merchants, will be presented during the event.
The councillor for the budget Enrico Panini will take the floor together with the Mayor Luigi de Magistris, as promoters of the resolution.
