Bisq delists Grin due to a technical problem in the decentralised exchange

The Bisq decentralised exchange has announced that it has decided to delist Grin due to technical problems.

To date, there are no other exchanges that have decided to delist Grin, so the cryptocurrency continues to be available on all other exchanges, where trading continues without problems.

One such exchange where Grin can be purchased is the Maltese trading platform Nexex, where it was listed in mid-January in conjunction with the first day of the cryptocurrency’s mining operation.

What is Grin?

Grin is a new cryptocurrency with a high level of privacy based on the MimbleWimble protocol.

The underlying technology is exotic and complex, so not many exchanges have dared to list it so far. It is the first crypto to apply the so-called homomorphic cryptography, which allows the manipulation of encrypted data. In this way, Grin has the power to delete addresses and obscure the transaction’s quantum recorded on the blockchain.

All this allows obtaining high levels of privacy and fungibility, as well as solving the problems of scalability, using the MimbleWimble protocol.

Grin also differs from other famous cryptocurrencies that guarantee a high level of privacy.

Monero, for example, suffers from some technical problems for which there seems to be no definitive solution at the moment, it also has major problems of scalability.

Whereas Zcash seems to have no technical problems and actually guarantees a very high level of privacy but does not seem to be very scalable, although there’s always room for improvement.

Grin, on the other hand, is functional and scalable and offers only the basic functions without having the ambition to compete with bitcoin.

For example, Grin does not have a deflationary monetary policy but issues an infinite amount of coins. The goal is to become a trading tool that offers privacy and scalability and not a store of value as currently could be said of bitcoin (BTC).
