Scam website organises a 5,000 bitcoin giveaway

A new scam website claims to give 5,000 bitcoins to those who send BTC to their wallet in order to take part in the giveaway.

This scam website, btc-return.net, promises to distribute 5,000 bitcoins (BTC) among all users who will participate in this giveaway. Basically, the unfortunate victim would have to send an amount between 0.05 and 5 BTC to the following address 1JSstteTEAgUusuXUrKEVKfadTu6Ya1EPv to receive between 0.5 and 50 BTC.

This is obviously a scam. Analysing the website, it was opened on May 22nd, 2019 and when checking the wallet it is possible to see several dozen transactions, which suggests that many unfortunate people have already been scammed.

To promote the giveaway, the scammers are posting comments also on the official Twitter pages of VeChain and Binance, and on other scam pages imitating the official one of VeChain.
