Zilliqa’s partnership with Chainlink for smart contracts

Zilliqa announced a partnership with Chainlink for connecting smart contracts to the real world.

Zilliqa is a high-performance public blockchain platform, while Chainlink is a decentralised oracle network that connects smart contracts to real-world data.

With this partnership, Zilliqa’s smart contracts will be able to easily retrieve and query external data feeds, allowing real-time access to data such as exchange rates, market prices, voting results, weather forecasts and other data sets. 

The collaboration will thus further enrich the Zilliqa ecosystem, allowing the creation of smart contracts using data from the physical world for the creation of new use cases such as decentralised exchanges, trading platforms and other decentralised financial applications. 

Zilliqa’s smart contracts will be able to use a customised Chainlink adapter that provides developers and users with reliable and accessible data feeds. 

In addition, Chainlink’s decentralised oracles will allow independent node operators to reliably transmit data feeds to a smart contract, which can also be used by all network developers. 

In this way, being composed of several independent operators, the resulting system does not have a single point-of-failure, thus resulting in more decentralisation compared to a single server.
