Cheapair.com in partnership with Bitcoin Cash

The online travel agency Cheapair.com has announced a partnership with Bitcoin.com that will allow it to accept Bitcoin Cash (BCH) payments.

The announcement was made via an official press release.

Cheapair.com, operating since 2013, was the first travel company to accept Bitcoin (BTC) payments to pay for both flights and hotel stays, and now will also accept payments through Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Dash.

This partnership will allow more than 4 million bitcoin.com wallets to directly and immediately access the cheapair.com platform from their app.

As Cheapair.com CEO Jeff Klee said:

“At CheapAir.com we’re big fans of Bitcoin and we believe people deserve the freedom to use whatever payment methods that fit their lifestyle and values. We wanted to partner with Bitcoin.com because of the great work they have done within the Bitcoin community, promoting crypto acceptance around the world. We value our crypto customers and support their efforts to build a more diverse and evolved financial system.”

For Bitcoin.com CEO Stefan Rust, it will now be even easier to use Bitcoin Cash:

Bitcoin.com is really excited to spread real world BCH adoption with CheapAir. Paying for flights and hotels with Bitcoin Cash has never been easier”.

Furthermore, travellers who book on Cheapair.com paying in crypto can take advantage of the “Price Drop Payback” protection that allows them to receive a $100 credit for travel if airfares drop after purchase. The platform, in fact, offers an in-depth analysis tool to find the best airfares, with a widget that shows the price pattern to understand when it is best to depart.

The news of the partnership with Cheapair.com comes precisely on the birthday of Bitcoin Cash: it’s been 2 years since the fork that led to the birth of this blockchain.

More and more companies in the travel industry are expanding the possibility of accepting cryptocurrencies to pay for their services. One example is Travala, which has already been accepting crypto payments for a long time, a symptom of an increasingly flourishing and growing market.
