According to some statistics released by Santiment, a reputable source that monitors project developments in depth, Cardano (ADA) the cryptocurrency with the most development activity in the past month. In more detail, Cardano ranks first in the development category according to GitHub data over the last 30 days, with a score of 325.
An active and competent development team
Cardano’s development activity is evaluated based on the number of “events” on GitHub including problem interactions, PR, comments and wiki changes, as well as the number of public repositories a project manages.
In the last 30 days, ADA has developed 3 times more than the average of the leading cryptocurrencies on the market.
The Cardano development team received a very high rating. A whopping 73 points higher than Ethereum’s development rating, 212 points higher than Aeternity’s and 230 points higher than what the EOS team achieved.
Since May 2019, Cardano has had a significant boost in development surpassing all competitors, scoring 300. No blockchain-based project has had this kind of development in such a short period of time, not even Ethereum.
The Shelly program
Cardano is a Proof-of-Stake blockchain network, created as a platform for the development of large-scale decentralised applications (dApps) and for smart contracts.
The project is based on academic research subject to continuous peer review, with a view to openness and transparency. In fact, all the research and technical specifications underlying Cardano are public and available to anyone.
Cardano is developed by IOHK, whereas the Cardano Foundation is responsible for overseeing the development and promotion.
One of the key components of the ADA roadmap is called Shelly.
The latter consists of achieving total decentralisation of the blockchain network. To achieve this, a system of rewards and incentives will be adopted to increase community adoption.
