Eidoo: the wallet now supports Litecoin

The Eidoo cryptocurrency wallet has announced support for Litecoin (LTC).

Until now, the app supported Bitcoin, Ethereum and ERC20 tokens, whereas the new version, 2.1.2, also adds support for Litecoin.

In addition to receiving, storing and sending LTC, it will also be possible to purchase them, using a credit or debit card via Simplex, or by bank transfer.

For the time being, it will not be possible to trade them on the integrated hybrid exchange, given that the DEX runs on the Ethereum blockchain.  At the end of September, however, a new brokerage feature will be introduced, which will allow trading several cryptocurrencies, including Litecoin, by means of interaction with other exchanges.

The trading pairs that will be enabled are BTC/USDT, LTC/USDT, BTC/ETH, BTC/LTC and others.

These new features come along with a restructuring of the EDO utility token, whose internal functions, as the press release explains, “have been improved to reflect the broadest range of services included in the Eidoo mobile app”.

In the meantime, the EDO token burn announced in early August also took place. There are now more than 11 million tokens burned, compared to just over 88 million still in circulation. Moreover, automatic burns have also been initiated, which can be followed in real-time on the dedicated page of the Eidoo website, with links to the relevant transaction on the Ethereum blockchain.
