Libereka: a blockchain student platform

A few hours ago, Education Index announced in a statement the launch of the blockchain student platform Libereka, which allows uploading university education-related documents.

With this tool, university students and others will be able to upload to the blockchain all their academic and non-academic qualifications and certifications; Libereka also allows to connect universities with students from all over the world.

The blockchain platform is well suited to be used as a recruitment tool for the brightest students, as universities can access information. In this way, universities can also provide scholarships.

Libereka does not stop there: another novelty is the fact that it can propose specific courses and programs for students who want to achieve a certain qualification or goal: even in this case everything will always be recorded on the blockchain.

Moreover, thanks to a matching system, students will be able to apply to different universities without having to use a different form each time: once there is a perfect match, so between the request of a university for a wanted profile and a student who meets those characteristics, the student is recruited with savings both in terms of time and money.

Funds are also always available and traceable, as Education Index CEO Soumik Ganguly pointed out:

“Libereka makes recruiting students simpler, cheaper and more efficient, freeing up time for universities to focus on what really matters: securing the best and brightest students. Millions of prospective students around the world currently rely on a patchwork system of application support. This model is inefficient and we are streamlining that process for universities as well as applicants.”

As for the universities involved, the selection includes China, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia.

All information recorded on the blockchain can also be used during the interview: job hunters can verify the certifications and votes obtained by the candidates themselves, eliminating the risk of possible fraud.
