TRON increases block staking rewards to 160TRX

TRON announced today that it has officially approved proposal No. 27, which introduces changes to block staking rewards. The new rewards involve 16 TRX for the SR block and 160 TRX for the staking block rewards for the first 127 SR and partners.

A new incentive mechanism dedicated to the network which, according to the report, marks a turning point for the TRON consensus mechanism. The post reads:

“This marks an age of Staking for everyone on the TRON network where greater user engagement in a prosperous TRON ecosystem will definitely engage more people in Staking and sharing staking rewards as never before, making the network even safer and more efficient”.

The post also states that the total amount of votes on the TRON network is 22 billion and is expected to increase further once proposal 27 is implemented.

Currently, the first to be eligible for the new block staking reward are Tronscan.org, TronLink and Cobo Wallet.

This is a further addition to the weekly news wave dedicated to Justin Sun’s crypto. The latest one concerns the report published by the TRON Foundation that contains some highlights:

The 27 SRs update to v3.6.5, reaching 4 million TRON accounts registered on the platform and the new partnership with South Korean electronics giant Samsung for the integration of TRX into the Samsung Blockchain Keystore wallet, are among the latest developments for TRON.

Moreover, only yesterday also John McAfee announced that starting from this November 8th, his McAfeeDex will integrate the TRON blockchain, allowing the trading of TRC10 and TRC20 tokens on the decentralised exchange.

The young crypto strategist Sun seems to keep his expansion going, even if despite the record numbers attained, there is still a space that doesn’t see him as the leader.

It’s the world of dApps, where TRON seems to have fallen to second place in the standings although ahead of its rival Ethereum. According to the latest data from DApp Review, the EOS network has surpassed TRON in terms of users, volume and transactions.
