The second issue of Private Key Magazine in December

Private Key is a magazine dedicated to “movers and shakers” of the cryptocurrency sector.

It is published in PDF format, which can be downloaded from the website www.privatekey.biz and each edition contains an interview with a protagonist of the crypto world.

The first issue is already online, while the second will be available in December

The magazine does not publish news or investment advice, but evergreen content on cryptocurrencies and the culture that revolves around them.

The founder of Private Key Magazine, Aaron Koenig, explains:

“There are many news sites on Bitcoin, but no magazine that focuses on the minds of the movement and their stories, thoughts and ideas. Since I know many people in the Bitcoin community, it is natural for me to fill this gap. Another topic of Private Key Magazine will be the art related to Bitcoin. There are more and more artists dedicating their work to Bitcoin, which I find quite fascinating”.

The person interviewed in the first issue is Diego Gutiérrez Zaldívar from Buenos Aires, co-founder and CEO of IOV Labs, one of the most active protagonists of the crypto movement in Latin America.

Gutiérrez also co-founded the Bitcoin Foundation of Argentina and the Latin American Bitcoin Foundation.

In the interview, he says that bitcoin and blockchain will give more power to the poor because these technologies can help solve one of the biggest problems of human society, that is, the abuse of power.

For example, by providing people living in slums with digital proof of their identity, they can obtain bank loans to start their own business. Or by creating a local digital currency that can only be used within those communities, so that money can circulate within the neighbourhood.

He also mentions the cases of Argentina and Venezuela, where there are huge discrepancies between rich and poor, and where there is hyperinflation, devaluation and corruption.

For instance, in Argentina in 2001 all bank accounts were blocked for almost a year, and when people could access them again, they found their pesos heavily devalued, effectively losing a lot of money. Now no one trusts the banks and the government anymore, same goes for Brazil and Venezuela.

As far as art is concerned, in this first issue of the magazine, there is mention of the artist Cryptograffiti from San Francisco, and of his artwork HODL.
