HTC Exodus 1, the smartphone for Binance

HTC has announced the launch of EXODUS 1 – Binance Edition, the world’s first Binance Chain-ready smartphone.

Exodus smartphones were launched by HTC in 2018 as smartphones that natively integrate blockchain features, and this time, thanks to a collaboration with the company of the famous exchange and Zion Vault, Binance Chain and the decentralised exchange of Binance have been integrated.

The device allows users to own their own keys and also allows them to access the decentralised exchange via Zion. It will also be equipped with the pre-installed Binance app and TrustWallet app.

Zion Vault supports bitcoin, ether, binance coin, litecoin, stellar, as well as selected ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens.

This Binance Edition will also have a custom look, with a custom back cover and custom background, designed by the Binance team.

It will be available from the end of November and will be available from htcexodus.com at a price of 599 USD. In addition, an airdrop in BNB will be issued to a limited number of buyers.

HTC’s Decentralized Chief Officer (DCO), Phil Chen, said:

“Binance is one of those fearless companies that challenges the traditional borders of how things are done. This borderless vision is a cause that HTC EXODUS also aspires to. I’m excited to be supporting the Binance chain and it’s DEX because we are partnering with the biggest and most liquid crypto exchange along with the trust minimized principle of empowering users to own their own keys and run their own full bitcoin node. This combination and partnership will usher in completely new paradigms of digital asset exchange and interaction”.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao added:

“Smartphones will play a key role in the crypto industry, and vice versa. Smartphones are the most natural device for a hardware wallet, that can be made simple to use and always with you. Crypto, on the other hand, will make every smartphone both a POS terminal and a payment device, cutting out most other middlemen. The implications are profound and far-reaching. The most innovative smartphone makers are racing to adopt crypto. We are delighted to support and work with HTC EXODUS to make sure its users can access the Binance chain and DEX to help people access crypto and exchange anywhere. I’m excited to see how this collaboration helps people adopt crypto through a smartphone, with a manufacturer that understands the brave steps needed to truly empower users”.
