GoCrypto: in Lugano boats are paid for with Bitcoin Cash

In Lugano, boats are paid for with Bitcoin Cash (BCH) thanks to an initiative promoted by GoCrypto, a company that assists merchants in accepting cryptocurrencies as a payment method. Currently, more than 900 shops all over the world use GoCrypto, of which about twenty only in Lugano.

Besides assisting in booking a boat trip on Lake Lugano using cryptocurrencies, GoCrypto has already helped several restaurants and shops in the city of Lugano and is also trying to involve the city’s taxis.

GoCrypto has its own token, GOC, which in the last few hours is showing a slight increase of 1.15%, possibly due to this news. The token is at the 401st position on CoinMarketCap with a volume in the last 24 hours equal to $11,788.74.

Lugano is definitely a strategic point, standing between Northern Switzerland and Italy, and is increasingly establishing itself as part of the “Crypto Valley“, offering many opportunities for startups looking for financing and people paying in crypto. Not to mention the fact that Switzerland has very clear regulations in terms of cryptocurrencies, ICOs and STOs.

Recently, for example, FINMA, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, has approved the crypto services of SEBA Bank, whose debit card features Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Stellar (XLM), Litecoin (LTC) and Ethereum Classic (ETC) and is used in 42 million stores worldwide.

In addition, a recent analysis of Initial Coin Offerings revealed that Switzerland ranked 4th in 2019 with just under $2 billion raised with ICOs.

Among other things, Lugano often hosts meetups and crypto and blockchain themed events, including the one to be held next May 7th and 8th organized by Bitcoin.com.
