Brave and the BAT cryptocurrency

Brave is an innovative open-source browser founded in 2015 by CEO Brendan Eich with its own native cryptocurrency called BAT.

Eich also created JavaScript and co-founded the famous Mozilla before becoming CEO of Brave Browser.

The main goal of Brave is to reward users with part of the proceeds from sponsored content. Normally users do not give any authorization for the continuous display of ads. Each time ads are displayed, users receive 70% of the profits that the browser receives from advertisers; in practice, they are rewarded in BAT for the attention given to the advertising content. This allows users to always maintain control over the content they want to display. 

Moreover, there is the possibility to support favourite websites or content creators by setting periodic and automatic donations, thus deciding both the timeframe and the quantity. 

Inside it, there is a section entirely dedicated to the crypto wallet where it is possible to carry out transactions and manage the token portfolio in a secure way.
