Crypto Twitter Hack, Elon Musk and Bill Gates under attack

Elon Musk and Bill Gates are also among the victims of the Crypto Twitter Hack, the hacker attack that targeted the profiles of crypto personalities and exchanges.

Unlike the type of attack that hit the exchanges and crypto personalities, in which a partnership and a Bitcoin giveaway was announced, the tweet of Elon Musk and Bill Gates announces that the two tycoons are ready to give $2,000 to those who send 1,000. Obviously, these are scams. Neither Elon Musk nor Bill Gates are engaging in such generous acts.

Specifically, Elon Musk writes that he feels grateful and is ready to double the payments that will arrive at his Bitcoin address. In Bill Gates’ post, Microsoft’s founder writes that it’s time to return what he received over time, so he will donate $2,000 to those who send $1,000 to his Bitcoin address.

Which happens to be exactly the same as that of Musk.

Ripple also a victim

The official account of Ripple has also been hacked. And also in this case they propose to give 2,000 XRP to those who will send 1,000 to the fund set up for Covid 19.

In this case, both the CEO Brad Garlinghouse and David Schwartz have intervened to make sure that users do not send anything to the address indicated.

A mass attack

What has already been dubbed Crypto Twitter Hack seems unstoppable. Several tweets have been removed from the profiles where they appeared, only to reappear later and be deleted again by the real operators. Apparently, the attack is also targeting sectors unrelated to the crypto world. Several users report suspicious tweets on the accounts of Uber and Jeff Bezos, but the posts would have been removed.

The event highlighted a flaw in the social network or, more likely, some third-party service linked to Twitter and used by the managers of the hacked profiles.

At the moment the crypto market doesn’t seem to be affected, as there are no particular changes.
