Cryptopia and other blockchain films available on Amazon and beyond

Cryptopia is one of the documentary films that deal with the blockchain theme and is available on Amazon. But what are the other films that can help people understand the crypto sector?

When someone approaches the blockchain world, they are usually interested in discovering more about it through books and documentaries to better understand its nature.

What are the latest crypto-themed films?

Certainly, in the entertainment category, there is the most recent Hollywood filmCrypto” which also features the famous actor Kurt Russell

Admittedly, it is not a documentary, but the plot deals with themes such as mining and some passages of Bitcoin’s operation.

As far as biographical films are concerned, it is worth mentioning “King of the Jungle” which tells the life of the famous entrepreneur John McAfee. The film is still in production, but it is already known that it will star an aged Zac Efron.

Another interesting film, also coming soon, is the one about the story of the Winklevoss brothers, “Bitcoin Billionaires“, showing all the background of the events that led the twins to become billionaires thanks to Bitcoin (BTC).

As far as documentaries are concerned, there is “Banking on Africa – The bitcoin revolution“, which tells the story of the use of bitcoin in Africa.

Coming soon will be the film about the controversial character of Craig Wright, which will also feature Calvin Ayre.

Cryptopia on Amazon

It is impossible not to mention “Cryptopia” by Torsten Hoffmann, which explains, on the one hand, how the blockchain works, and on the other, gathers the opinions of the most important crypto exponents of the sector such as Roger Ver and many others.

Among other things, this documentary was recently released on Amazon Prime, as the author himself stated:

“I believe that documentaries can reach a wider audience than podcasts or books can. With our first film “The End Of Money” which was produced in 2015 we reached about a million views on YouTube this year alone. This was part of the reason we made Cryptopia, a follow-up documentary that covers the entire blockchain industry”.

Meanwhile, blockchain technology is impacting the world of cinema: there is now the short film “Dear Superstar V” which is a real NFT (Non Fungible Token), released on the Wax blockchain, an EOS sister chain.
