OmiseGo arrives on Coinbase Pro

The news was announced a short while ago: Coinbase Pro, the advanced and professional version created by Coinbase, will soon be featuring the OmiseGo (OMG) token on its platform.

As can be read from the post, the token will be added to Coinbase Pro next Monday, May 18th, 2020.

OmiseGo will then be available for use within the platform and will be available for all jurisdictions except the State of New York; users will be able to deposit the crypto at least 12 hours before the opening of trading the next day starting at 9 AM.

Once there will be enough supply to open the orders, it will be possible to start trading against USD and BTC: at first, therefore, there will only be these 2 trading pairs, but later on, trading against EUR and GBP will be introduced as well.

Before the actual trading launch there will be 4 steps:

  • Transfer-only. Starting on Monday, May 18, customers will be able to transfer OMG into their Coinbase Pro account. Customers will not yet be able to place orders and no orders will be filled on these order books. Order books will be in transfer-only mode for at least 12 hours. We will communicate the exact timing for this phase via Twitter closer to the date.
  • Post-only. In the second stage, customers can post limit orders but there will be no matches (completed orders). Order books will be in post-only mode for a minimum of one minute.
  • Limit-only. In the third stage, limit orders will start matching, but customers are unable to submit market orders. Order books will be in limit-only mode for a minimum of ten minutes.
  • Full trading. In the final stage, full trading services will be available, including limit, market, and stop orders.

Just a couple of months ago Coinbase Pro introduced the KNC token from Kyber Network, allowing trading with this DeFi token.

Note how this token is in the top 5 of the altcoins, even competing with Ethereum (ETH) according to social engagement, proof that this project is increasingly moving forward.

Immediately after this news, the price of the OmiseGo token has quickly skyrocketed with a 15% increase.
