McAfee announces support for TRON in his DEX

John McAfee has announced that his DEX will soon add support for TRON.

On November 8th, McAfeeDex will integrate the TRON blockchain, making it possible to exchange also TRC10 and TRC20 tokens.

It is important to remember that Tether dollar (USDT) is migrating to this blockchain, in fact, more than 800 million USDT TRC20 tokens have already been issued, and this is likely to have played a role in the decision taken by McAfeeDex.

The goal is to make this decentralised exchange cross-blockchain so that it can operate for example with both Ethereum and its ERC20 tokens, as well as with Tron and its TRC20 tokens.

Moreover, since it is a decentralised exchange, anyone wishing to list an ERC20 or TRC20 token can do so, thanks to the integration with the Ethereum and TRON blockchains.

Other blockchains, such as EOS, BNB and NEO, should also be integrated in the future. McAfee himself has promised that this will be possible by early 2020.

During an interview published on October 22nd he said:

“On November 8, we will add the Tron blockchain. On January 1 we will add Binance, EOS, and NEO, and then on May 1, we will go live with cross chains between all of these separate blockchains. We will, in fact, be the equivalent of Binance, only were distributed and decentralized, and it doesn’t cost anything to list a coin on the exchange”.

The popularity of McAfee could allow this decentralised exchange to overcome some classic limits of DEXs, especially the lack of liquidity.

The famous influencer is best known for its opposition to governments and state institutions. As a matter of fact, he is still in exile, following the judicial troubles he had with some American government agencies. He is, therefore, a true example of a person who deliberately chooses to escape the control of states.

To date, however, the data on the trading volumes on McAfeeDex is not yet known.
