The new version 2.2.2 of Openbazaar, the famous peer-to-peer marketplace, has been released.
This version adds some new features including a feeless decentralized exchange with more than 1,500 cryptocurrencies that doesn’t require an identity verification process like KYC.
The software constantly downloads and updates the market prices of cryptocurrencies supported by CoinMarketCap and allows users to apply a markup or a discount to the market price.
The previous version had only 60 cryptocurrencies, while now more than 1500 are supported thanks to the integration of CoinMarketCap. Only cryptocurrencies can be traded because Openbazaar does not support fiat currencies.
Openbazaar doesn’t charge any fees and does not require any registration because it’s decentralized and P2P.
It is a direct one-to-one exchange between the seller and the buyer, and if the “moderated payment” option is chosen, there is a third party that can intervene in case of dispute.
Anyone can download the app and use it without any limitations. It is available as a stand-alone software for Windows, Linux and Mac.
