Summary
Nvidia with Microsoft, Google and the tech brands write to the SEC against AI
From what has emerged, it seems that a dozen major brands in the tech sector have written to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the USA regarding AI.
Specifically, it is a report on the “risk factors,” which indicates that Artificial Intelligence (AI) could threaten corporate finances.
Among the big Big Tech companies, there is Nvidia of mining, but also Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Dell, Meta, Oracle, Palo Alto Networks, Uber, and at least others.
In practice, such AI risk report is filed with the SEC to ensure that it is made available for disclosure to investors.
In fact, all these major brands in the technology sector are in a certain sense issuing a warning that has the purpose of indemnifying a company from legal liability for foreseeable risks.
To give practical examples, Microsoft has presented a report indicating that the development and use of AI risk being sued for copyright infringement.
In the case of Meta, however, the warning concerns its Artificial Intelligence tools that could be used to generate disinformation.
Nvidia del mining e il rapporto dei fattori di rischio dell’AI, non ferma gli investimenti
The fact that the Big Tech have filed their report on the “risk factors” of AI with the SEC, does not seem to have slowed down investments.
Speaking precisely about Nvidia, the brand that became popular in the Bitcoin and crypto mining sector, today its stock seems to be riding the bullish wave precisely thanks to its focus on AI.
In June, in fact, the stock of the AI leader, Nvidia, surpassed 3000 billion in market capitalization.
Not only that, also in the month of June, even if temporarily, the Nvidia stock had also surpassed Apple among the most valuable tech stocks in the world.
At the time of writing, the overall ranking still sees Microsoft in first place, followed by Apple and, with a market cap of 3.155 billion, Nvidia.
The new crypto project to develop open-source AI
Recently, there has been talk about Sentient, the new crypto project that aims to develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) based on underlying open-source code.
In this regard, Sentient has obtained a seed funding led by Pantera Capital, Framework Ventures, and Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, for a total of 85 million dollars.
The basic idea of Sentient is to address concerns about the proliferation of AI, which sees the underlying code centered in the hands of a few superpowers such as the Big Tech of Google or Meta.
It is about mitigating such concerns using blockchain technology, thus creating decentralization with Artificial Intelligence. Sentient will be built on Polygon.
