Solana posted on X yesterday about a new privacy focused wallet called Hush. The announcement was met with some excitement with many X users stating that privacy was something that they felt was missing from the Solana ecosystem.
The new Hush wallet will use zero knowledge proofs to hide user information, this is a cryptographic protocol that can prove information without fully revealing it.
Hush stated on their X that they will launch within the next few days on the Chrome Extension store, and that they will release more details over the coming days.
Summary
What Will Hush Wallet Offer?
Besides the much needed benefit of privacy within the Solana network, Hush states in their terms of service that it will offer integration with Jupiter exchange for private token swaps.
Alongside this, the announcement states that they will offer automatic transaction shielding, possibly similar to that in Zcash as well as disposable addresses.
It will also integrate with PrivacyCash for privacy mixing, and Near Intents for Zcash bridging.
Hush states that companies like Google and Facebook spend millions each year to get your data, therefore they believe that privacy should be integrated into every trade, swap, and transaction.
The Need for Privacy Wallets on Solana
Solana has grown into one of the most active chains for payments, NFTs and consumer apps. It’s also one of the fastest blockchain networks available, however its speed does not automatically protect user data.
As more and more people use Solana for transfers, gaming and digital ownership, the need for privacy is growing. Hush Wallet says that privacy can work in the background, without requiring user intervention.
While transparency on Web3 interactions can help with accountability, it also creates a digital footprint that many users prefer to reduce. Privacy wallets offer peace of mind rather than leaving users’ data exposed.
Solana Wallet Options
Wallet offerings on Solana are expanding at a fast rate, many users need wallets that combine ease of use, token management and multi chain capabilities. There is also a need for wallets that combine privacy and complete asset management.
Several wallets already operating in the market provide Solana support along with a wider range of tools. These include built in on ramps, token swaps, cross chain features and a simple to use interface for newcomers.
They function as all in one hubs where users can store, buy and trade assets across multiple networks.
Hush Wallet shows that privacy is becoming a serious consideration within the Solana community. It strengthens the network’s appeal for users who want confidentiality along with fast and low cost transactions.
Hush Wallet currently has a waitlist sign up option on its website, however for those who want an established wallet that already supports Solana and has a heavy focus on privacy, look no further than Best Wallet.

Best Wallet has been around for a while, delivering not only privacy-oriented but non-custodial wallet services to customers from around the world. As mentioned, it doesn’t require KYC, and thanks to its self-custodial architecture, users can rest assured that no one except them has access to their private keys and funds.
The fact that users can seamlessly trade Solana-based coins alongside assets from other major blockchains without encountering KYC checks makes it better than CEXes, which typically require identity verification, even for basic trading. Its multichain functionality, on the other hand, gives it an edge over DEXes as well, which are limited to only cryptos from their native blockchains.
Alongside Solana, Best Wallet currently supports other popular networks like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, as well as all the tokens running on them, giving users a truly versatile multichain experience. And considering the goal is to support at least 60 chains, Best Wallet users will soon have the freedom to manage all their assets in one place.
For now, users who hold coins from chains not yet supported can connect them to Best Wallet, and manage all of them within a single interface, thanks to its multi-wallet model. The next defining attribute lies in its comprehensive suite of trading tools, which enables seamless fiat payment, cross-chain swaps, staking, and more.
There is also a token launchpad within the app, primarily designed to enable investors purchase promising tokens that are not yet available in the open market. The wallet has been featured across multiple major crypto YouTube channels and websites, all of them dubbing it the best option for both day-to-day traders and long-term investors.
And with over 500,000+ downloads and 50% MoM metrics, Best Wallet continues to be one of the most popular non-custodial wallet solutions for anonymous storage.
