Assuming that ETH takes a 70% market share among smart contract protocols, this implies a token price of $11,800 in 2030, which we discount to $5,300 today with a 12% cost of capital derived from ETH’s recent beta. This analysis provides a clear valuation methodology for Ethereum, considering fees, MEV, and Security as a Service.”
Therefore, based on this projection, Ethereum will experience a 225% surge compared to its current price of $3,630, representing a new all-time high (ATH), as ETH reached an all-time high of $4,800 in November 2021.
VanEck has also painted a bullish picture for Ethereum, as it has established that the layer 2 (L2) networks of its ecosystem could reach a valuation of 1 trillion dollars by 2030.
