Ulove wins the Retail Award 2018, the idea consists of a wedding gift registry on blockchain to pay for the newlyweds’ trips.
It is a tool developed by GrowishPay, a company specializing in fintech, and Uvet Travel System, an integrated tourism system that is part of the Uvet group, which allows creating the first wedding gift registry based on a virtual currency wallet.
This project won the IKN Italy Retail Excellence Award in the section dedicated to innovation and was presented last November 29th during the 18th Retail Forum.
The award was given for the particular innovative approach in the management of the retail trade thanks to the proprietary Growishlist technology, designed specifically for wedding gift registries.
Ulove works in a rather simple way, allowing the couple to receive their wedding gifts on a specifically created electronic currency wallet on which relatives and friends can deposit in their preferred way, from credit transfers to credit cards and even cash at an associated point of sale.
The collected figures are then transferred in real time to the travel agency until the figure for the honeymoon is covered.
If the amount then exceeds the limit, the money will remain available to the couple who can expand the wedding gift registry or cash it in their bank account.
This system has advantages for all parties involved: the couple can check the situation of the list, relatives and friends have the opportunity to make their gifts in a simple way, while the travel agency has the ability to monitor the payment of the trip itself.
Claudio Cubito of GrowishPay commented on the award with satisfaction:
“The extreme specialization on specific targets that we have chosen to adopt, combined with the network provided by Uvet Travel System, have paid off. This award shows that what we are building is not only pleasing to the public, but also to professionals”.
GrowishPay with this solution is a leader in the payments sector of the gifting industry, in which it has been operating since 2014.
