The Bitcoin symbol now appears on the keyboard of all Apple iOS devices, although for now the official insertion of the “B” of Bitcoin has not been done by the giant Apple, but by the Gboard application, Google’s keyboard dedicated to iOS systems.
One can download the free Gboard application from the App Store and, use the keyboard offered by Google through one’s iPhone exclusively on iOS devices.
By holding down the $ symbol a bar will open showing all the symbols of other currencies integrated into the keyboard, including “B” by Bitcoin.
The same thing, however, does not apply to Android systems, although they use Google’s Gboard app.
This is a strategy developed by Google that could somehow formalise bitcoin as a currency and help to increase its adoption.
However, Apple and Android systems are somehow excluded from this new feature at the moment.
