The countdown will expire on Tuesday, May 14th, 2019, and at the end, according to the website, the identity of the famous creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, will be revealed.
The search for Satoshi Nakamoto does not seem to stop, not least because for some it represents a myth, considering that it is almost impossible in the 21st century to remain anonymous with all the digital traces that a person leaves on the Internet.
In this scenario, gotsatoshi.com is preparing to unveil the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, activating also a countdown for the announcement.
The site was promoted by a Twitter user who launched this campaign, which will probably only turn out to be some kind of advertising campaign.
Many in recent years have claimed to be Satoshi, like in the case of Craig Wright, or to reveal his/her name, as John McAfee intends to do. Meanwhile, the various speculations made in this regard are being squandered, ranging from the CIA and the NSA to the possibility that it is a group of people or a woman.
It’s hard to tell if this website will actually be the key to discovering the identity of the legendary developer, but it seems more like a marketing campaign in order to retrieve user data: the website, in fact, has provided an email box where it is possible to register.
