Zilliqa updated its blockchain at the end of January of this year by switching from the Ethereum ERC20 token to the new mainnet. For this reason, all exchanges are adapting to the migration, including Bittrex.
In detail, all users with ZIL in their wallets will keep their balance in their addresses and the latter will be migrated to the new blockchain. The same initial balance will be maintained with a 1 to 1 conversion and once the step is completed all tokens of the old blockchain will no longer be supported or traded on Bittrex.
Bittrex International will reactivate the wallets when both the exchange and the Zilliqa team agree that the migration is satisfactory.
Deposits and withdrawals will be suspended from 10:00 AM PST today and any deposits made on Bittrex International, if not marked as pending, will not be credited with ZIL.
As for the trading of the other cryptocurrencies, the platform will operate normally.
In short, Bittrex International users will now be able to use Zilliqa’s new blockchain without any problems and without the risk of operating with the old tokens, allowing Zilliqa to expand and keep up to date.
