Yesterday a partnership was announced between Worbli, a blockchain platform designed for both consumer and enterprise development, and WordProof, a blockchain designed to help the WordPress ecosystem.
With this partnership WordProof users will be able to have their content timestamped, thus proving the authenticity and ownership of the content, as stated by the CEO of Worbli, Domenic Thomas:
“With the recent impetus from blockchain technology, we now have the unprecedented ability to have truths immutably recorded and digitally stored safely. This immutability will become the standard and anyone not subscribing to this standard will eventually see the trust in their content diminish”.
This technology will revolutionise the industry and especially the credibility of online content, eliminating fake news and incorrect information, as explained by the director of business development of Worbli, Sean Anderson:
“We’re thrilled about this partnership. There is so much false and misleading information out there floating around, it’s important that the WordProof Timestamp Plugin exists. We’re proud to be part of this cutting-edge product that’s easy enough for anyone and everyone to use”.
The partnership between Worbli and Wordproof, in fact, will lead to the creation of the Timestamp plugin, designed for the WordPress platform, software that today is used by 1/3 of the sites in the world.
