As announced by Bitfinex, today, September 2nd, there will be an update of the platform in order to integrate new products.
The update of Bitfinex will also allow proceeding with the split between Bitfinex and Ethfinex, which has recently opted for a rebranding with the name DeversiFi.
Bitfinex will be performing a system upgrade on Monday, September 2nd, to enhance the stability and scalability of the iFinex trading infrastructure.

As can be read, the update will take place from 8:30 AM UTC and will continue for 2 or 3 hours, resulting in the platform going offline.
The platform will be updated to improve both the design and stability, as well as the scalability of the iFinex infrastructure. In addition, new trading products will also be integrated.
During this update, traders will not be able to access the platform, but all funds will be safe and will not be affected by the update. No orders will be executed, open orders will maintain their status and will be operational again on the new platform.
Users will not be able to liquidate their positions as soon as the platform is operational again
