A few hours ago Bitcoin.com announced a new way to send transactions on the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) blockchain thanks to a smart contract system called Nimbus.
In the video, the developer shows the various steps and implementations that are possible with Nimbus, allowing the management of all the various features of smart contracts, ranging from those of a video game up to the creation of something very similar that has been accomplished by MakerDAO.
“Building a decentralized stablecoin like protocol like Maker DAO on Bitcoin Cash would be very complicated but with the right tools and support it shouldn’t be much more difficult than building it on Ethereum”.
Bitcoin Cash and the change of consensus for Nimbus
To create this type of transaction it is necessary to change some aspects of the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) protocol, says Ruck, changes that in part are already in the development roadmap of the blockchain, but others with some controversial implications.
“I think it’s better to shoot for the moon and miss than to aim for the mud and hit”.
The Bitcoin Cash community immediately reacted positively to the news and some developers gave positive opinions, whereas others asked if Nimbus requires a change in the blockchain’s current consensus algorithm. In response to this question, the developer reiterated that it is necessary to make several changes, including the one related to the consensus.
