Bitcoin.com launches the HashRace promotion

Bitcoin.com has announced the launch of HashRace, a new promotion aimed at miners.

The campaign is divided into two 90-day phases, for a total of 180 days, and was launched yesterday.

The goal is to give participants the opportunity to maximise mining profitability before the Bitcoin halving, scheduled for late spring next year.

This promotion will reward miners who provide their hashrate from the Bitcoin.com mining pool. Each miner who contributes at least 500 TH/s will receive a bonus in the form of a free hashrate, according to the contribution they provide during the promotion.

During the first initial accumulation phase, which lasts 90 days, the participants in the promotion will provide their hashrate to the Bitcoin.com mining pool, and will thus accumulate the bonus according to the amount of hashrate provided.

This phase, started yesterday, will end on January 19th, 2020, the date on which the allocation of bonuses will stop. Every 30 days, 7.5 TH/s will be paid out for every 500 TH/s that users will direct to the Bitcoin.com mining pool.

Starting from January 20th, the second 90-day phase will begin, ending on April 18th, during which participants will be able to continue to receive their bonus while maintaining a daily contribution of more than 50% of their average hashrate provided during the first phase.

On the HashRace website, Bitcoin.com has also published the updated real-time ranking of the first 10 participants in the hashrate promotion. As an incentive for participants to enter this top 10, an additional bonus of 10 TH/s for every 500 TH/s will be awarded to those who manage to place themselves in the top 10 of this ranking.
