N26 today launched Business Metal, a new account with a 0.5% cashback for freelancers and entrepreneurs.
N26 users who decide to open this type of account will receive the cashback money directly into their account on a monthly basis; in addition, they will have exclusive access to several offers from several N26 partners, such as Google Ads, Boosted, Fiverr, Blinkist, 8Fit and Udemy.
The account also includes travel, mobile phone and medical insurance coverage, extended to family members, as well as car, bike and scooter rental insurance.
N26 Business Metal customers will also have access to priority Customer Support by phone or through an in-app chat.
This new offer is particularly dedicated to travellers: in fact, N26 Business Metal users can make payments anywhere in the world with zero commissions.
The Business Metal is a contactless stainless steel MasterCard debit card weighing 18 g, three times more than a normal card. Customers can choose from three metallic colours: Charcoal Black, Quartz Rose or Slate Grey.
Andrea Isola, General Manager of N26 Italia, commented:
“Freelancers and self-employed workers are a growing and increasingly important part of the global workforce, Italy specifically has the highest number of freelancers and self-employed workers in Europe, totalling over 5 million. Yet they are often neglected by traditional banks. N26 is investing in increasingly tailor-made solutions for this target, an important first step has already occurred when we opened our Tech Hub in Vienna in October 2019, a new technology centre dedicated to the development of our commercial offer. In April this year we also launched the Italian IBAN for all new accounts, a solution much in demand by our customers, and today we are pleased to announce our new N26 Business Metal account, which expands our existing Business products and innovates the industry with an exclusive cashback and a number of other key advantages thanks to active partnerships”.
N26 Business Metal is priced at €16.90 per month for customers across most of Europe.
Georgina Smallwood, N26’s Chief Product Officer, said:
“With N26 Business Metal, we wanted to design a premium account specifically for freelancers and the self-employed, an account that was better aligned to their individual needs and incorporated unique benefits such as cashback, insurance packages and exclusive offers from our partners. In the future, we want to add additional functionalities to simplify the handling of transactions and tax payments, for a more personalized and individual banking experience”.
