Yesterday Ultra announced a new partnership with the dfuse service to make use of their APIs so that the launch of the project’s mainnet, scheduled to take place soon, will proceed without any kind of problem.
What is Ultra?
For those who are not familiar with the project, Ultra is a decentralized EOSio-based distribution platform for video games.
This platform is designed both for game developers who can distribute their games through it and for gamers since, in addition to playing next-generation blockchain-based games, they can also earn money by playing and submitting reviews.
In fact, it should not be underestimated that the market for live streaming games and related reviews is highly profitable and growing.
Ultra has among its partners also Ubisoft that can deliver games of a certain level, the so-called triple-A, directly on a decentralized platform, which, as mentioned, is an EOS sisterchain.
The partnership with dfuse
Ultra has not yet been launched on the market to reach the general public, but this is imminent, and to avoid any problems, Ultra has decided to rely on dfuse, a powerful tool that allows extrapolating data from blockchains based on EOSio and Ethereum, to obtain historical data on the number of users, transactions, and more.
The fact that Ultra decided to use dfuse for the release of its source codes shows how the team is open and transparent to share information with those who want to control the statistics and data of the project.
For example, the famous dApp listing and statistics sites could also use the API to make a better ranking.
An incredible partnership for a unique and innovative project, said dfuse CEO, Marc-Antoine Ross:
“We are excited to partner with Ultra as they share our desire of creating a pristine developer experience for the millions of developers that will be onboarded to blockchain. Enabled by dfuse, developers will not only be able to build unique and innovative gaming use cases only possible on top of Ultra but also deliver the best historical and real-time user experience”.
A solution that took several months and, of all the candidates, dfuse proved to be the most solid one, commented Ultra’s CTO, Mike Dunn:
“Ultra had a few options when it came to providing an event streaming service to answer the requirements of our upcoming Ultra blockchain and the applications that depend upon it. After many months of discussion and research, we selected dfuse for their robust solution”.
