Even gyms now accept Bitcoin

From today onwards, the Dimagrimondo gym in Grugliasco, Italy will also accept payments in Bitcoin (BTC).

Massimo Bechis, Managing Director of the Dimagrimondo gym in Grugliasco, detailed:

“Being one of the first gyms in the world to be equipped to receive payments in Bitcoin is a source of pride for me and my partner Alessandra. In these extremely difficult times for fitness due to COVID-19, making a 360-degree commitment to improving allows us to feel alive and projected into the future”.

Covid-19 is certainly bringing problems to the sports and events sector, so Dimagrimondo’s aim is to revamp itself to attract as many people as possible when it reopens.

Alessandra Remmert has in fact explained:

“Being able to adapt to digitalization also means supporting and being able to process new forms of payment”.

Bitcoin in the gym you’ve always dreamed of

“Fitness is the best way to safeguard our well-being and our future. Digital currencies, such as Bitcoin, are the future of stress-free payments. Combining them seemed to us the best way to give people the feeling of maximum peace of mind, transparency and willingness to meet their needs. Our slogan ‘The gym you’ve always dreamed of’ embodies all our commitment and day after day Alessandra, our instructors and I are working hard to ensure that people perceive our facility as their home, the place where they have always dreamed of working out”.

And indeed Bitcoin is definitely a payment method that is free of all constraints and professes to be the tool to give freedom and privacy.

Furthermore, the two partners explain:

“Bitcoin payments are very fast and the fees acceptable. In addition, all it takes is a smartphone and opening an account on an Exchange to be up and running. Besides the traditional POS, we can also receive bitcoin as a payment method, which puts us several years ahead of all other European gyms. At Dimagrimondo we have always innovated both in terms of training machines and subscription formulas, moving away from the “traditional” and looking for the best solutions for the people who work out here”.

Bitcoin isn’t the fastest and cheapest cryptocurrency on the market, but it’s certainly the best known at the moment so it makes sense to use BTC as a payment method.
