Is Elon Musk also selling an NFT?

Yesterday, Elon Musk announced on his official Twitter profile that he is selling an NFT

In fact, the tweet contains a song about NFTs, and Musk claims he wants to sell it as an NFT.

However, there is no link to the NFT or to the sales platform, so it could be the usual Musk joke. After joking about Dogecoin for a long time, he has now evidently started joking about NFTs.

Elon Musk selling the NFT for Dogecoin?

It is worthy of note that when Beeple replied that he would offer him $69 million for that NFT, Musk replied that he actually wanted 420 million DOGE, which is much less than half of $69 million.

Musk’s sense of humour is therefore evident, seeing as the Tesla founder is used to joking like this on Twitter.

It is also no coincidence that he himself somehow linked NFTs to Dogecoin, because he evidently believes that they have some features in common. In this discussion, however, he did not mention Bitcoin, which he has been joking about much less lately.

In addition to Beeple, other users have come forward to buy the NFT song from Musk, including Justin Sun, founder of Tron.

Musk, however, only responded to Beeple with the joke involving Dogecoin.

These days, the famous Tesla founder seems to be on a roll.

Yesterday, in an official statement sent to the SEC, Tesla officially and explicitly stated:

“the titles of Elon Musk and Zach Kirkhorn have changed to Technoking of Tesla and Master of Coin, respectively. Elon and Zach will also maintain their respective positions as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer”.

This official communication sent by Tesla to the SEC does not seem to make any sense except that of yet another joke.
