Revolut, owner of the eponymous fintech app with 15 million customers worldwide, today announced that it has partnered with world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua to launch a new luminescent debit card, the proceeds of which will be donated to charity.
The exclusive card has a minimalist, streamlined design and includes Anthony Joshua’s motto, 258, which reflects the boxer’s dedication to his sport and his 24/7 commitment. The card is black and white in daylight and turns a striking green and black in the dark.
The heavyweight champion of the world has spent much of the 2020s campaigning for community and social justice, including the Black Lives Matter movement and has supported local recreational facilities and aspiring boxers. Revolut and Anthony Joshua joined forces on this project following an initiative launched by AJ in December 2020 with the aim of personally funding amateur boxing.

The card is a limited edition and is available to all Revolut customers. To get it, simply download the Revolut app on iOS or Android and order the card from the card section within the app. The cost is £1 and proceeds will be donated to struggling independent boxing gyms across the country. Revolut is committed to donating a minimum of £50,000 total.Â
Facilities such as gyms and leisure centres were not included in the UK government’s aid package and the charity ukactive has estimated that 400 facilities have closed their doors permanently since the start of the pandemic and a further 2,400 gyms are at risk.
Anthony Joshua said:
“I am delighted to partner with Revolut to support UK boxing gyms. Without my local gym I would not be where I am today. Across the UK, there are kids and adults alike using these gyms to improve their physical and mental health, and keep themselves off the streets. I am really pleased my Revolut card will make a real difference”.
