With its “crypto promotion” in collaboration with Robinhood, Burger King is giving away 20 Bitcoin, 200 Ethereum and 2 million Dogecoin to its luckiest customers.

Burger King, Robinhood and the “crypto promotion”

The famous fast food chain has raffled off prizes in BTC, ETH and DOGE this month that can be redeemed on the Robinhood trading app.

According to reports, in order to take part in the “crypto promotion”, Royal Perks members of the fast food chain will need to make a purchase of at least $5 pre-tax of Burger King (‘BK’) food and/or drinks, through BK.com, using the BK app, or at participating BK restaurants.

Participants will receive their prize code via email and can then proceed to claim their prize. Each participant can receive up to 21 prize codes. As a result, while the prize code request phase will end on November 21, the second prize request phase will take place up to December 17, 2021.

In the event of a win, the Burger King crypto giveaway will be handled by Robinhood. In this regard, the announcement reads as follows:

“If you do not have a Robinhood Crypto Account, you will be required to open Robinhood brokerage and Robinhood Crypto accounts”.

“If you ever needed a reason to grab some BurgerKing, this is a good one”.

“You heard it here first. we’ve teamed up with RobinhoodApp to give out a side of crypto when you spend $5 or more on the BK App with Royal Perks. No Purchase. Nec. Terms Apply. See thread for more”.

The choice of the prizes in Burger King’s ‘crypto promotion’ involves 20 BTC, 200 ETH and 2 million DOGE. On that note, the famous fast food chain pointed out the win estimates:

“Odds of winning each prize at the start are approximately: Bitcoin Prize: 1:100,011 (20 available); Ethereum Prize: 1:10,001 (200 available) and Dogecoin Prize: 1:1 (2 million available). However, the Odds will change as prizes are distributed, and Unclaimed Prizes will not be awarded”.

Basically, only 220 Royal Perks members, for whom membership is free, will be lucky enough to win the prize pool in BTC and ETH. All the rest is covered by the crypto-meme par excellence, DOGE.

Robinhood increasingly present in the crypto scene

US-based traditional and crypto trading app Robinhood continues to expand its presence in the crypto scene.

In fact, the current news involving Burger King and the “crypto promotion” suggests Robinhood as a bridge between the traditional and cryptocurrency worlds.

A week ago, with HOOD’s share price dropping by 8%, Robinhood received support from the stock market’s Rock Star, Cathie Wood, who bought as many as 2.2 million HOOD shares.

Meanwhile, in the crypto scenario, the trading app had revealed in its Q2 report of 2021, revenue increases from crypto transactions, 60% of which were in HOOD

In this regard, the community of the ‘Dogecoin Killer’, Shiba Inu (SHIB), has reportedly launched a petition asking Robinhood to integrate SHIB into its crypto offering. At the time of writing, the petition has reached 466,000 signatures out of the 500,000 requested.
