Department store chain Macy’s is getting into the NFT sector by announcing a charity collection for the traditional 95th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which this year will take place on November 25.

Specifically, 9,510 NFTs depicting some of the most famous balloons will be launched and distributed through the NFT Sweet platform. The non-fungible tokens were designed by digital agency REOMETRY and Seth Brown and are built on Polygon‘s blockchain and are carbon-neutral.
The proceeds from the sale of the NFTs will go to support Make-A-Wish, which helps sick children.
How to get Macy’s NFTs
In reality, only 10 ultra-rare NFTs will be auctioned off, the rest will be given away for free. Beginning November 19, the sale of the 10 Ultra Rare Macy’s Parade NFT’s will begin. directly on Macy’s website. The auction will begin on the 19th from 12:00 AM ET and continue through Tuesday, November 30 at 11:59 PM ET.
In addition, these NFTs are structured so that even if they are sold in a secondary market, an additional 10% donation to Make-a-Wish will be generated.
The remaining 9,500 NFTs will be distributed free of charge, from the NFT website, starting on the day of the parade, November 25, at 10:00 AM ET. Those who participate, whether or not they win NFTs, will also enter a contest to win $10,000. NFTs will be distributed randomly to fans at the parade.
