Andrea Crespi is a talented Italian artist under 30. His work is characterized by the continuous investigation of different media and themes including optical illusion, social transformation and the digital revolution.

Andrea Crespi’s career in crypto art

After several years as an art director in a Swiss creative agency, Andrea decided to fully dedicate himself to his art, extending his research to the world of crypto art.

Eager to express his creativity across the board, he launched his first NFTs, works that represent an extraordinary dialogue between art and fashion.

The female body, one of the highest forms of artistic expression since the origins of art, is the main subject of Andrea’s works.

Art and the digital world

For the artist, the concept of art cannot have an unambiguous, closed and immutable definition. According to Andrea, art can be manifested in many ways; it is the possibility of still feeling wonder, it is the most elegant way of asking uncomfortable questions, it is beauty and truth. 

Unlike many other artists, for Andrea there has been no passage, no transition from traditional art to digital art, as the artist is a child of this era of change.

During our interview, Andrea stated that he is extremely comfortable with technology, seeing it almost as an extension of himself.

The artist does not consider it a limitation to use different tools to those used by the great masters of the past. 

Digital art is his natural habitat, his point of departure and not of arrival.

Future projects

Andrea reveals that he has many future projects in mind.

For him, one of the most important is certainly that of being able to inaugurate his first personal exhibition.  

The artist himself admits:

“There is always a lot of work in the world of crypto art and it is often an uphill journey, but then again, no one truly enjoys what is too easy.

My greatest goal is to make a living doing what I love. 

For this, I have to thank those who follow me, understand me and believe in my work. 

Nobody gives you anything, that’s why I know that I have to keep on giving my best, but there is no real goal, what counts is the journey”.
