Trans-Calare, the famous statue of Rabarama, enters Somnium’s metaverse thanks to a digital decomposition of 2,085 NFT

NFT-mania is also arriving in northern Italy thanks to the startups The Token and Seven Art, which have digitized the famous Trans-Calar statue of Rabarama into 2,085 Non Fungible Tokens.

Specifically, the 2,085 Trans-Calare NFTs correspond to the number of tiles that make up the coloured coat of the monumental statue located in Brescia.

The project’s creator is business angel Raluca Vatavu, an expert in the digital world with experience in Stardust Records (of which she was co-founder) and Anycryptostock foundation (of which he is president).

Basically, The Token is essentially concerned with blockchain applied to various business sectors, while Seven Art, based in Rome, has art as its core business.

Launching the digitized work in Milan on World Art Day

Precisely on 15 April, in honour of World Art Day, during the WEB3 Digital dance | art | value event at IBM Studios in Milan, Seven Art and Urban Theory will present the Trans-Calare statue of Rabarama in its digital version.

The initiative is part of a partnership with Urban Theory (digital dancer with over 2.5 billion views of their choreographic content).

The aim is to bring the generation of cryptocurrency users and DeFi operators closer to the traditional art world through new paradigms of aesthetic and financial enjoyment of the physical artwork.

To this end, Seven Art is building an art portal where it will be possible to buy and sell both physical and digital works of art through cryptocurrency payments.

To celebrate World Art Day, the well-known group of digital dancers will publish 7 Token NFT on Foundation.app. 6 which will represent well-known choreographic contents and the seventh an unpublished choreography created to celebrate the partnership with Seven Art.

The seven NFTs will be physically visible during the event on digital media at the venue. This will allow people to enter a temporary NFT art gallery.

Rabarama’s Trans-Calare artwork digitized into 2,085 NFTs follows in the vein of all those works that have been sold to multiple buyers. Such as the case of the work The Merge by artist Pak which sold for more than $91 million on Nifty, saw 28,984 buyers purchasing 266,445 NFTs representing the units of this piece.

WEB3, Metaverse and Art, a period of exhibitions and events

In the last week alone, there has been talk of a number of events and exhibitions dedicated to sectors also influenced by the Blockchain, such as WEB3, Metaverse and NFT Art.

Starting on 12 April, the Paris Blockchain Week Summit began, bringing together leaders in the crypto space with meetups, keynotes, workshops, hackathons and more. Notable topics include decentralization, Web3 apps and the Metaverse.

The opening day has also been named Europe’s largest NFT conference, where demos of NFTs and wearable skins, a virtual reality gallery and physical printing of NFTs from Solid NFTs, among many other things, will be presented.

Not only that, on 7 April, the Cortesi Gallery in Lugano also held the vernissage of the exhibition of physical and NFT works by three famous artists: Emanuele Dascanio, Matteo Mauro and Leo Caillard.
