Poseidon DAO presents Monuverse

This week Poseidon hosted the Monuverse project, which will launch its Arch Of Peace series of collectibles today, on Friday 11 November.

Monuverse aims to take the world of Cultural Heritage to another level by preserving the physical monument while making it available to anyone at any time.

The idea of Monuverse, in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Culture, came about as a result of the event held from 31 December 2021 to 2 January 2022, in which a digital artwork, a 360-degree sculpture designed by the Ouchhh studio of creative coders and artificial intelligence, was projected onto the Arch of Peace, Milan’s iconic monument.

The result was an immersive experience that combined physical and virtual reality while giving new life to the historic monument.

The Drop

The 7777 NFT series, Arch Of Peace, is divided into 9 categories, following the data cluster from last year’s event. It is possible to mint the work:

  • Via White List at a price of 0.07 ETH
  • Via PreMint at a price of 0.09 ETH
  • Via Public Mint at a price of 0.11 ETH

Moreover, alongside the NFT, you will also get an avatar of the relevant historical period, in this case the Napoleonic era. NFT holders will also get several benefits for upcoming editions, which will be related to different monuments, chosen by the community each time.

Monuverse: a glimpse into the future

During the Space, where Web3, the future of NFTs and the main Metaverse projects were also discussed, there was also an explanation of the purpose of the Monuverse project in the area of education and learning experience. The project could develop in the direction of creating its own metaverse or partner with an existing metaverse. The project is also open to the possibility of creating a DAO in the future.

As for Web3, there has been a long discussion about its limitations and potential. The biggest problem, according to Monuverse, is the complexity currently present in existing metaverses: the user experience is still not simple enough – unlike that of social networks for example.

In order to achieve mass adoption, according to Monuverse, it will not only be necessary to streamline the experience, but also to completely revolutionize the graphics and make the metaverses interoperable. Furthermore, thanks to AI, it will also be possible to enjoy the virtual product of the highest quality on smartphones or through next-generation eyewear that would allow reality to be combined with 3D models

Taking as reference the world of social networks, it is difficult to think of a single metaverse, but rather, several platforms, well-targeted, with different functions and graphics.

There was also discussion about the use of user data and privacy: at present, it is almost impossible to measure how users use the metaverse, but in the future, this could be much easier. In order to avoid the resale of data to third parties by platforms, as already happens with social networks, according to Monuverse, it would be interesting to think of spaces in which users are the owners of their data, the eventual sale of which is their own choice that would allow them to receive royalties.
