Bitget Wallet adds TON Mainnet and expands the crypto offering.

Bitget Wallet, formerly known as BitKeep Wallet, has integrated The Open Network (TON), initially designed by the Telegram team.

In anticipation, the crypto wallet will add support for dApps in the ecosystem, token trading, and candlestick chart functionalities.

Bitget Wallet integrates The Open Network (TON) and plans to support its crypto services

Bitget Wallet, previously known as BitKeep Wallet, has integrated The Open Network (TON) blockchain and plans to add support for its crypto services as well.

In practice, starting from today, November 30th, Bitget Wallet will support the layer 1 of TON, known for being initially designed by the Telegram team and then developed by the community.

Specifically, users of the crypto wallet will be able to access the TON network and manage activities, with just one click, by executing transactions on the chain.

For the future, Bitget Wallet plans to further expand its services to include support for TON ecosystem DApps, token trading, and candlestick chart functionalities.

Not only that, there will be other innovative products and services based on TON and Telegram that will be launched, such as the Telegram Red Packet feature.

Bitget Wallet and the integration of the TON crypto ecosystem

Bitget Wallet’s support for TON reflects recognition of its innovation and anticipation from Telegram’s user base venturing into Web3.

And indeed, TON is designed for high scalability, aiming for millions of transactions per second (TPS) to serve Telegram’s vast user base. Its performance makes TON an important player in the evolving digital landscape, as the network strives to bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3, promoting widespread adoption of crypto.

In this regard, Bitget Wallet and its over 12 million users worldwide are committed to providing convenient and user-friendly product experiences, thus opening the doors of Web3 to its users.

The Bitget Wallet app ranked fourth in global downloads in October. Furthermore, integration with the TON mainnet is expected to increase liquidity and the user base of the TON network.

Support for fiat currencies with Quick Buy

Last September, Bitget Wallet had also added support for new fiat currencies through its “Quick Buy” crypto service.

The currencies in question were EUR, RUB, and JPY and the purpose of this insertion was to “strengthen” the Over-The-Counter (OTC) functionalities of the crypto-wallet, expanding access options for users.

And in fact, among the supported payment channels of Quick Buy there are MoonPay, Alchemy Pay, Simplex, FaTPay, Banxa, and Trans.

In this case too (as in the case of TON), Bitget Wallet wanted to reduce the barriers to entry to Web3, also involving fiat currencies to allow users to buy/sell crypto more easily.
