Some positive forecasts are starting to circulate regarding the price of Ethereum and the crypto market in general.
However, it is important to clearly distinguish between short, medium, and long term, as forecasts vary depending on the timeframes.
Summary
Ethereum (ETH) Price Predictions
Regarding the short term, there are several positive forecasts circulating about the potential trend of the price of Ethereum in the coming days.
Indeed, just like Bitcoin, it is possible that the worst is now behind us, and that Bitcoin’s potential rebound could also bring along Ethereum.
To be honest, in the very short term there is no consensus, as there are also negative forecasts regarding today’s price of ETH, but looking a bit further ahead, the predictions seem to improve.
In particular, if the analysis is extended to the medium-short term, there are those like CoinDCX who predict a +7% by the end of November, and those like CoinCodex who foresee a +11.48% by mid-December. Bpay News and Bitget also agree on a potential rise in the coming months.
So while for today and the first part of this week there are speculations of a new drop towards $3,000, or even less, regarding the coming weeks many believe a rebound at least above $3,400, if not even above $3,500, is possible.
In fact, there are also several forecasts suggesting a return above $4,000.
Medium-Term Forecasts
Regarding the medium term, a further distinction needs to be made.
Indeed, while it is true that several positive forecasts are circulating for the coming months, extending the analysis to the medium-long term reveals some negative ones as well.
Practically for the coming months, there is considerable consensus on the hypothesis that it could surpass $3,400, with many forecasts suggesting a peak between late 2025 and early 2026 well above $5,000.
For example, Changelly predicts a maximum peak at $7,000, while Kraken forecasts $3,500. However, there are also those like CoinPedia who predict $12,000, with many forecasts significantly exceeding $5,000.
The important thing is that ETF inflows continue in the medium term, and that the price of Ethereum in Bitcoin significantly rises from the current 0.033 BTC.
Long-term Forecasts
As for the medium to long term, there are various hypotheses suggesting that a potential year-end bullrun could be followed next year by an actual bear-market.
In other words, if many anticipate a peak, perhaps even above $5,000, in the coming months from now until January or February 2026, it becomes possible that by the end of next year the price might then decline.
In other words, if the peak of this cycle were reached due to a new speculative bubble, it could burst, as has happened in the past, and thus could be followed by a bear-market.
At this moment, however, there doesn’t seem to be a consensus on what the bottom might be during the next bear-market.
In the true long term, however, things return to being positive, with a broad consensus on a further rise in prices.
For example, according to Finder, in the coming years, the price of Ethereum could rise up to $12,000, while CoinPedia goes even further, projecting beyond $15,000.
However, there are also those, like Cryptopolitan, who venture a $40,000 prediction by 2031, but the disparity between these forecasts is too great to claim there is consensus on the values.
In other words, in the long term, consensus exists only on the bullish trend.
The Crypto Markets
As for the altcoin, however, they should be analyzed individually.
However, it can be stated that if Bitcoin and Ethereum perform well over the coming months and years, from this perspective, it seems quite unlikely that the crypto markets would not follow suit.
This allows us to speculate that, overall, the crypto markets could perform well both in the coming months and years, notwithstanding the potential bear-market next year, but it is extremely difficult to venture any figures.
However, it is important to consider that while Bitcoin is unique and without competition, Ethereum already faces a bit of competition. Altcoins, on the other hand, are starting to face a lot of competition, so even if the crypto markets perform well overall, there will certainly be altcoins that perform better and others that perform worse.
