Once the fork has stabilised, all services will resume normally.

Therefore users are advised not to deposit any ZECs on the exchanges during the fork because the deposit may fail and the funds will not be recoverable.

In addition, most likely new addresses for exchange wallets will be generated.

After the fork, when it will be possible to deposit again, you will need to log in to your account to check the new address to send deposits to.

Advice for those manage a node

In this guide, we recommend that anyone who manages a node on the Zcash network keeps the software updated, making sure to use the latest version and not accept transactions during the fork.

Also on the official website of Zcash, there are FAQs for the common user and a page with updates in real time.

It will not be necessary to make any crypto transfers, because this fork doesn’t create new cryptocurrencies, but only updates the protocol.

So there’s nothing else to do when you update the software you use. The important thing is to avoid ZEC transactions until the fork has stabilized. In case of any problems, we recommend waiting for the transaction to expire and then repeat it.

Once the fork is finished, when the new blockchain has stabilized, you can go back to using the tokens as before, simply having to use the new updated software.

Users of online platforms do not even have to update, because updates will be performed by the team that manages the platforms themselves.
