This means that exchange users can now generate new BAB deposit addresses, while previously issued Bitcoin Cash (BCH) deposit addresses will still be considered valid and usable for BAB deposits.
As of today, BCH no longer appears on Bitfinex, but has been replaced by BAB (or Bitcoin Cash ABC) and also Bitcoin Cash SV (BSV) is present.
At the moment, however, the replay deposits on the BSV chain are not supported, so whoever deposits BAB will not receive BSV. On the contrary, the exchange users have been advised – through the blog post – to take additional precautions to ensure that the transfers are correctly separated and that only the token they wish to deposit is correctly transferred.
Users are encouraged to take special care when making BAB or BSV transfers by making sure to use the correct address and token.
If in doubt, you can contact [email protected] before initiating the transaction.
BSV’s deposits and withdrawals will only be enabled in the next few days and will necessarily require the generation of new deposit addresses.
On Bitfinex at the moment, it is possible to exchange both Bitcoin Cash ABC (BAB) and Bitcoin Cash SV (BSV) for US dollars (USD) and Bitcoin (BTC), but still without margin trading and financing, which will be enabled at a later date.
